PARISH ADMINISTRATOR (part-time)

Hours: 20 hours per week                                   Salary: £14.00 per hour

St Francis is a vibrant multigenerational church in Strood West. We are all about bringing the Good News of Jesus Christ to everyone, sharing together, and seeking the Lord Jesus in all we do. We believe that God is at work transforming lives and our community through the power of His Holy Spirit. Therefore, we seek to create and grow disciples of Jesus and together advance the Kingdom of God here in Strood.

For us to do this effectively, we are looking for an experienced administrator who will help our church in Strood to flourish.

The Parish Administrator is a key person in the life of St Francis, managing the Parish Office and working closely with the Parish Priest, Pioneer Minister, Churchwardens, and the Ministry Team. They will also liaise with members of the PCC, volunteers, and the wider community. This position will be office based and is the point of contact for general enquiries by phone and in person at the church office, the hub of church activities. They will coordinate the requests for baptism, weddings, and funerals. They will also provide appropriate administrative support to the Parish Priest and Pioneer Minister as well as other volunteer leaders of the church.

The Parish Administrator needs to have great attention to detail as well as organisational flair. They should possess excellent written and oral communication skills, competent with spreadsheet budgets, and able to identify and support income generation activities, such as facility hires. They will demonstrate initiative, have an in-depth experience of office organisation and process systems, with excellent IT skills. We are seeking a self-starter who will share our vision and join the team at St Francis, Strood.
